England International Tango Festival 2022

This is an annual event that we have been involved with for some time now. Every year the people at Tango Boot Camp in Brighton organize a four-day tango festival in a venue near West Sussex, and we provide the sound and lighting and all other necessary technical infrastructure. Previous events have been at Tonbridge School, Ardingly, and Herstmonceux Castle, but this year they ran the event at Ralli Halls in Hove.

There were three rooms of dancing, with the two smaller rooms kited out for various DJs and workshops throughout the weekend. We provided sound systems and basic lighting for those, and monitored them throughout the event to ensure they ran well. The main room hosted a live band (Otros Aires), multiple DJs, and tango performances, and was the arena for the main flagship dance events in the evening, so we needed to provide a comprehensive system. The band required a full live sound mix, as well as video mapping around the venue. For the performances we had tracking spotlights to highlight the dancers. And for the whole weekend the lighting was adapted to the mood of the various events that were being held.

Local Jubilee Celebrations

This was a small event in support of the Queen's Jubilkee. There were bands, announcers, a few live musicians, and a dance demonstration from Tangosynthesis, and we provided basic sound reinforcement.

One mixing desk, a pair of amplifiers, and a few microphones around the performance area and that was all we needed.
